Conference room systems usually come with a high quality camera built into the main unit and this camera is able to zoom pan and tilt and allow the camera to follow the speaker’s voice or follow pre-designated set instructions. The other party can also control the camera from a distance. In PC desktop systems the camera is usually very small and sits on top of the computer monitor.

Microphone

Most videoconferencing systems come with a microphone that can be placed on the conference table. Additional microphones can also be connected and adjusted with a slide to video converter to regulate the sound. In PC desktop systems the microphone is usually very small and sits on the desktop.

Equipment Stands and Carts

You will need stands or carts to keep and store equipment on. Usually the monitor, codec and camera sit on top of the cart and the other equipment can possibly be stored below.

A lot of research has to be done before buying video conferencing equipment and it is usually worth doing some market research before actually buying any devices like a digital video display. If a conferencing system is set up properly you will be able to save money as people using the system will not have to travel to distant locations to hold meetings any more.
